Author Policies

ICAIC Author Guidelines

Mandatory policies governing author participation, presentation requirements, and ethical publication practices.

Overview

Author Participation

ICAIC welcomes authors from around the world and is committed to delivering a high-quality, in-person academic experience. To ensure a smooth and professional conference, all authors must comply with the following policies.

At the time of camera-ready submission, authors of accepted papers are required to acknowledge and confirm compliance with these policies.

Requirement

Presentation Policy

  • At least one author must attend the conference and present the paper in person.
  • Presenting authors must register at the in-person registration rate.
  • Remote or virtual presentations are not permitted.
Declaration

Author Commitment

During camera-ready submission, authors must formally acknowledge the following commitment:

“I commit to ensuring that one of the authors will present the paper in-person at ICAIC. If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from doing so, I will notify ICAIC immediately. I understand that failure to notify ICAIC may result in the exclusion of the paper from the proceedings.”

AI Ethics

Policy on AI Systems

ICAIC prohibits the inclusion of text generated by large-scale language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT in submitted papers, unless such content is explicitly part of the paper’s experimental analysis.

Authors may use AI tools for language editing or stylistic improvements of text they have written themselves.

Integrity

Authorship & Plagiarism

  • AI systems such as ChatGPT, Bard, or DALL-E cannot be listed as authors.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and originality of their work.
  • Allegations of plagiarism will be thoroughly investigated.
  • Confirmed plagiarism may result in rejection, retraction, institutional notification, and restricted access to future ICAIC events.
