Author Policies

Review the author presentation policies and guidelines for ICAIC 2026. When submitting your camera-ready version, authors of accepted papers must acknowledge these policies and agree to comply.

ICAIC (International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity) looks forward to welcoming everyone to Winnipeg, Manitoba in October 2026. To help you better plan for your participation at the conference, please review the author presentation policies below.

Requirement

In-Person Presentation Requirement

At the time of camera-ready submission, the following acknowledgment will be required:

Required Acknowledgment

"I commit to an author presenting the paper in-person at ICAIC 2026. If exceptional circumstances arise that prevent the authors from presenting the paper in person, I will notify ICAIC immediately. I acknowledge that if I do not notify ICAIC about exceptional circumstances, the paper will not be included in the proceedings."

AI Policy

Policy on Use of AI Systems

Guidelines for using AI systems in producing ICAIC or ICAIC-related publications.

1

Plagiarism and Use of AI Systems (e.g., ChatGPT or Similar LLMs)

Papers that include text generated from a large-scale language model (LLM), such as ChatGPT, are prohibited unless the produced text is explicitly presented as part of the paper's experimental analysis.

This policy does not prevent authors from using LLMs for editing or polishing text written by the authors themselves.

2

AI Systems and Authorship

ICAIC 2026 follows the ICAIC policy that AI systems, including generative models such as ChatGPT, Bard, or DALL-E, do not meet the criteria for authorship of papers published by ICAIC.

As such, these systems also cannot be cited as sources in papers published by ICAIC.

Authors bear full responsibility for their content, including checking for plagiarism and ensuring the accuracy of all text.

Important Reminder

Authors are fully responsible for all content in their submissions. Using AI-generated text without proper disclosure as experimental analysis constitutes a violation of ICAIC policies and may result in rejection or retraction of the paper.

Sanctions

Handling Allegations of Plagiarism

Any allegation of plagiarism, whether due to the use of an LLM or any other reason, will be investigated thoroughly by ICAIC.

3

Potential Sanctions for Substantiated Plagiarism

If plagiarism is substantiated after investigation, the following sanctions may be applied:

Rejection or Retraction

The work will be rejected from the conference or retracted from the proceedings if already published.

Institutional Notification

Notification to all the authors' institutions or employers, as well as any other relevant authorities.

Denial of Service

Denial of service and access to all ICAIC-sponsored meetings and future conferences.
